Youth and Veteran Programs

Youth Adaptive Golf Series

Our youth adaptive golf series uses the Els for Autism #GameOn coaching method to provide evidence based practices for teaching golf to individuals with cognitive, developmental, and physical special needs. Participants learn golf skills and build confidence and self-esteem in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment. We meet once a week for six weeks, starting at a local driving range the first four weeks to learn fundamentals and finishing up the last two weeks on local courses to put their skills on display with on-course time.

Veteran Focus Groups

After facing his own struggles with reassimilation as a returning veteran, our founder Brandon Worley rediscovered his love of golf and immediately wanted to share its healing properties with his fellow military service members. Similar to our Youth Adaptive Series, we have Veteran focus groups bringing veterans together and uses golf as therapy for our service members. We use regular and adaptive golf equipment to ensure there are no barriers to enjoying the benefits of golf as outdoor recreation therapy.

UCAG and Clemson Series

Co-hosted with the Clemson Parks and Recreation Department, this series meets 3 times in the spring and 3 times in the fall. This program is intended to help further the study of and design programs around the use of golf as outdoor therapeutic recreation.
